Fees and Policies

At Over the Hill with Gill, the prices are structured around the duration of your session as well as the experience and expertise of Gillian.

Individual Counselling - $140 (50 minutes)

Child/Youth/Family Counselling - $150 (50 minutes)

Please note that sessions are 50 minutes in length; I spend the last 10 minutes of the hour writing the clinical notes, processing information, adding to the treatment plan and finalizing payment. Clinical notes are stored in a way that meet the OCSWSSW’ standards of practice for a period of seven years following the completion of the last session. At that time, they will be destroyed.

Payment is required before or right after your session by e-transfer, credit or cash.

Cancellation/No Show/Missed/Late Sessions:

Over the Hill with Gill requires a minimum of 24 business hours (one business day) notice for all cancellations and rescheduling. Please understand that this policy is in place because of the high demand for therapy and to allow me to make the space available for any clients who may be waiting for services.

For missed appointments, or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance, you will be required to cover the full cost of your appointment. All psychotherapy sessions are to begin and end as per the pre-scheduled appointment times. If you arrive late or leave early, I cannot make allowances for this and you will be billed at the full rate.

That being said, Over the Hill with Gill recognizes that some situations can’t be helped and that life happens! Let me know what’s going on and I am certainly willing to work with you if/when an emergency occurs. In any event, please contact me as soon as possible to let me know that you won’t be attending.

Extreme Weather Conditions

In the event that my office is closed due to weather, you will be contacted via email. I will also include this information on my website and social media. Please use your best judgment in these events and be sure to check your email. If schools are closed due to weather, appointments will be cancelled. Please know that If we are experiencing extreme weather conditions and you are not comfortable driving, you are able to cancel your appointment without charge. If you would still like to keep your appointment but don't want to drive, virtual and phone sessions are available to you.

Crisis Services

Please note that I do not provide crisis services; should you find yourself requiring immediate help outside of our session, please call the appropriate crisis service hotline (HERE24/7), contact 911, or attend your local Emergency Department.
